FAQ

Will eSIM work on my phone?

Quickest check: dial *#06#. If you see an "EID" line, your phone supports eSIM (on iPhone also Settings → General → About). Most iPhones sold in mainland China, and many from Hong Kong and Macao, do not (newer mainland models such as iPhone Air and 17e do, but install the eSIM after you arrive); the phone also has to be unlocked. No EID? A physical SIM is the no-fuss option.

When does the plan start counting?

Most plans start the first time you connect at your destination; a few start when you pay, and the plan page says which. The install code arrives right after payment, so you can install before you leave; an eSIM iPhone bought in mainland China installs only after you arrive.

What if I run out of data or the plan expires?

Add or renew in "My cards" without reinstalling. With auto-renew on, the plan you picked renews from your points when data runs low or expiry is near; if points are short you just get a reminder.

Can I get a refund?

An eSIM that isn't installed on a phone yet can be refunded from the order page, in full as points. Once installed or used, and for physical SIM cards, paid orders can't be refunded on request; if something is wrong, contact support: we look into it and usually refund as points; a refund to your original payment method isn't guaranteed.
